Man Accused Of Setting Blaze That Destroys Home, Leaves Family Homeless

CHAUTAUQUA – A Village of Sinclairville man is facing charges after the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said he set a fire that destroyed a house leaving a Dewittville family homeless.

Fletcher Walters III, 27, is charged with felony second-degree arson.

Deputies said two adults and two children escaped the house without injuries after the fire broke out late Sunday night at 5728 Centralia-Hartfield Rd.











Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies, while responding to a harassment call, initially noticed the fire and called in crews.

Dewittville Fire Fighters were assisted by nine other departments while battling the blaze.

Walters was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $150,000 cash bail, $300,000 property bond.
