The event, taking place Saturday from noon until dusk, aims to raise money for the Falconer and Kennedy Volunteer Fire Departments.

Amanda Braley, one of the event organizers, says she hopes the young athletes learn the importance of giving back to the community.

“We teach our players and cheerleaders the importance of caring about your community,” said event organizer Amanda Braley. “We are more than a sports program. We mentor kids for life, instilling value, community, and family.”

Braley said both fire departments are a huge benefit to the community by always responding to emergencies. The fundraiser is her group’s way of showing their support and appreciation.

A bake sale, basket raffle, and several 50/50s will be available in addition to a day filled with football.
