JAMESTOWN – A downtown Jamestown brewery will soon be reopening its doors after obtaining its liquor license this week.

The Jamestown Brewing Company announced on Facebook they will be reopening Monday, September 30, with beer, wine and liquor.

The bar and restaurant temporarily closed earlier this month while the establishment worked to obtain a state liquor license.

The brewery, located on the corner of West Third and Washington Streets, previously opened in July without a license. The group originally planned to open in Spring 2018 but several delays in renovating the property pushed the date back.

Construction was slowed even more by litigation between the brewery developers, property owners and redeveloper GPatti Enterprises.

The business is expected to employ between 30 and 40 people. The restaurant will seat 280 guests in five different areas.
