JAMESTOWN – The City of Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department announced details of the city’s annual ‘Halloween Fun-Fest’ on Monday.

Officials say the 35th annual event will take place Thursday, October 31, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the former Allen Park Ice Rink.

The free event aims to offer a safe and fun alternative to trick-or-treating door to door.


Those 12 and up must be accompanied by a child, and children under six must be accompanied by a parent or adult.

The evening will feature games, a haunted house, refreshments, and musical entertainment by ‘Take 2’.

Student’s from Jamestown High School’s Key Club and National Honor Society will be on hand helping fill candy bags.











There will also be a costume parade at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with two grand prize winners will receiving bicycles.

Judges will announce the winners at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. respectively.

Officials with the City of Jamestown thank the Allen Park Women’s Club, Artone Manufacturing, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Fessenden, Laumer, & DeAngelo; Honest John’s Pizza, Jamestown Board of Public Utilities, Jamestown Bowling Company, Media One Group, Morton Club, R. Patti Excavating & Concrete; Southern Tier Supply, Starbucks, and Wegmans for the help with the event.
