FALCONER – The Falconer Truck-Lite plant is slated to close at the end of the year.
The company in a statement announced the news Thursday.
A spokesperson said the factory plans to relocate work to other facilities.
“Our tentative decision is consistent with other recent actions designed to meet customer demands and make Truck-Lite more cost competitive in the global marketplace,” the statement read. “This is not a decision that we take lightly, and we are committed to treating the impacted employees fairly.”
Falconer based office employees will remain employed, according to officials.
“This tentative decision has no impact on our other Falconer office-based employees,” the statement furthered. “We intend to maintain a presence in the Falconer area.”
Truck-Lite did not specify how many employees will be effected by the closure.
