OLEAN – Valu Home Centers is closing three chain outlets in the Southern Tier and Pennsylvania.

The Buffalo based company says changing buying habits in the retail sector are to blame.

Liquidation sales are scheduled to start at the Valu stores in Olean, Painted Post, and Warren, Pennsylvania on Monday.

A statement from the company says three managers and around 15 full and part-time staff will be offered jobs at other stores.

The company recently launched a new online format and they expect to expand their online product offering in the near future.

The Valu brand was first launched in 1968.
