Jamestown Enters Contest To Win City Makeover

JAMESTOWN – The City of Jamestown has entered the nationwide HGTV hometown makeover contest.







The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities posted the city’s video submission on their YouTube page last week.

The popular TV network is trying to find a town for its newest show, “Hometown Takeover.”







In “Hometown Takeover,” Ben and Erin Napier from the hit HGTV series Home Town will lead a team of renovation pros to give a town a facelift.

Towns with a population of 40,000 or less were asked to submit why their town deserved the makeover.

  1. Not once was there mention of cultural diversity, the one single aspect of the city that exemplifies the passion and integrity of Jamestown, once my home town.
