FALCONER – Two parents are facing charges after a woman allegedly overdosed on drugs in front of a two-month-old at Falconer’s Budget Inn last week.

Town of Ellicott Police say Joshua Lincoln, 36, and Tanisha Babcock, 24, are charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Officers say they responded to the motel just before 1:30 a.m. last Wednesday for a reported overdose.

On scene police say they observed a female overdosing on an unknown drug substance.

Police say a two-month-old child was in the room during the overdose and both parents, later identified as Lincoln and Babcock, were under the influence of drugs and unable to care for the child.

Officers say the two were issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

It is unclear if the child was placed into Child Protective Services’ care.
