CELORON – Crews are hard at work setting up for this weekend’s Fire & Ice Celebration at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron.

Over 20,000 pounds of ice will be turned into various meticulously carved sculptures and martini luges.

Karen Kearney, the hotel’s catering and sales manager says in addition to the adult beverages available some winter activities will also be going on.

“We have an ice hockey table, a large throne by the comedy center for a great photo op, and a large ice wall featuring all of our sponsor’s logos carved in ice,” said Kearney.

Funds raised at the event will benefit the Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County.

Kearney says tickets for Thursday and Friday are still available at brownpapertickets.com. Saturday’s festivities have already been sold out.

A fireworks display is scheduled to close out each evening.
