JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force says they found several different quantities of illegal drugs valued at over $20,000 during a search warrant raid on Tuesday.
Police say they observed Rocco A. Beardsley, 34, driving in the area of Locust Street. Beardsley reportedly had a valid Jamestown City Court arrest warrant for felony third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Members of the Jamestown Metro and Southern Regional Drug Task Forces initiated a stop on Beardsley, where officers say he allegedly exited the vehicle in an attempt to get away on foot.
Beardsley allegedly threw a bag containing a large amount of narcotics underneath the vehicle. He was then taken to Jamestown City Jail.
Jamestown Police Departments SWAT Team, along with the two Drug Task Forces, executed a search warrant at 20 W. Cowden Pl. Tuesday afternoon. Kylie M. Reeves, 27, was reportedly inside. Officers say Reeves was allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, a large amount of drug paraphernalia and cash.
Three children under the age of five were also inside the residence.
Reeves was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and the children were turned over to a family member.
Police say they executed a search warrant on the vehicle Beardsley was driving later Tuesday afternoon. Police say they seized 2.61 ounces of fentanyl, 2.275 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, 1.24 ounces of cocaine and 11 hydrocodone pills with an approximate street value over $20,000.
Beardsley was charged with the arrest warrant for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The new charges are second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
Kylie Reeves is charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said this was a result of a several month long investigation of alleged drug trafficking of illegal drugs in the Jamestown New York area by Beardsley. The investigation was conducted by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force (JMDTF), Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force (STRDTF) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Wow. Officers probably shouldn’t be in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. 😂
