ALBANY – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says his own family is learning the hard way how contagious the Coronavirus is.

The Governor spoke a day after his brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, announced that he tested positive for COVID-19.

“Anyone can get it. No one can be protected from it,” said Governor Cuomo. “I could not protect my own brother. With all that he knows, as smart as he is, he could not protect himself. So, anyone can get it and everyone has to be protected.”

Chris Cuomo says he is now quarantined in his basement.

But he is feeling fine, and he’s still anchoring his show “Cuomo Prime Time” from home.

Cuomo was most recently at CNN’s offices in the Hudson yards neighborhood of New York City last Friday. This is the third case of coronavirus involving those offices.

The vast majority of CNN employees have been working from home for several weeks, with anchors broadcasting from small studios and home offices.
