Third Person Dies Of COVID-19 In Chautauqua County

MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Health Officials say a man in his 60’s, who tested positive for COVID-19, has died following a lengthy illness.  

Officials also reported a new case of the virus involving a woman in her 40s during Friday’s update.


There are now a total of 23 confirmed cases, eight of them active with 12 fully recovering.

A total of 114 people are under quarantine or isolation orders by the Public Health Director and being monitored.

“Not all of those being monitored are confirmed to have COVID-19 but have either shown symptoms, are awaiting results, or have risk factors,” said officials.



In Cattaraugus County, two new cases were reported Friday brining the total to 15 confirmed cases with 12 active and three recovered.
