One New COVID-19 Case Reported In Chautauqua County Thursday

JAMESTOWN – One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Chautauqua County on Thursday afternoon, bringing the countywide total to 27 confirmed cases.

Health Department officials say the case involves a woman in her late 60s and a total of five active cases remain in the county.

Since yesterday, one person has recovered brining the recovery total to 19.


So far, three people have died from complications of the virus.

In Cattaraugus County, the 28th person tested positive for COVID-19.



Officials say the male resident resides in the southeastern part of the county and had no significant travel history, but was in close contact with a known positive case.
