WEST ELLICOTT – Ellicott Police say a response to the wooded area between Runnings Store and Metcalf Avenue Monday morning led to an arrest.
Police say they received a report of a suspicious person being in the woods while in possession of stolen items.
Police add, upon arrival, that Jeremy J. Peelman, 42, no address given, was located while allegedly in possession of a STIHL MS271 chainsaw that was found to be stolen at an earlier time.
Peelman was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Peelman was given an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court to answer for the charges at a later date.
