51st COVID-19 Case Reported In Cattaraugus County On Monday

OLEAN – The 51st case of COVID-19 was reported by the Cattaraugus County Health Department on Monday.

Officials say the case was identified at UPMC Chautauqua Hospital after a man, living in the southwest part of the county, was admitted to the Emergency Room for dry cough, shortness of breath and diarrhea on Sunday.

The man, officials say, has no significant travel history prior to testing positive.


The department has now begun a contact tracing investigation for the places that he did visited.

There are now 13 active cases, with 36 recoveries in the county.

Meanwhile in Chautauqua County, there were no new cases of the virus reported on Monday.
