JAMESTOWN – High pressure building in to the Northeast will provide the region with mainly dry and comfortable weather throughout the next few days. We’ll warm back up once again by the middle of next week.
After the Cold front passage Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, surges of cooler and less humid air have been allowed to invade Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania. Clouds will clear out tonight leading to mainly clear and starlit skies. Lows 54 in the valleys, 59 at the Lake Erie shoreline. Wind diminishes to 5-10 MPH overnight.
Although there is a small chance for an isolated shower throughout the day on Friday, the majority of the day will be dry with plenty of sunshine to go around. Highs 68 to 75.
The cool down will continue through the weekend as highs will go down into the 60’s for both Saturday and Sunday with partial sunshine at times. As moisture begins to increase with the upper trough, a few showers could spark across the region Sunday afternoon and evening.
Depending on how a storm system to our south behaves, scattered showers could be possible both Monday and Tuesday. Understand, there remains little agreement within forecast models on this storm as of this time. We’ll keep the shower chances at 30 percent for now with partial cloud breaks.
We’ll also start warming up again by Wednesday of next week as temperatures get close to the lower 80’s once again.
