FREDONIA – Students in the Fredonia High School band once again took part in a virtual performance, this time, paying tribute to essential workers.

In total, more than 400 people came together to pay tribute to workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a performance titled “Lean On Us,” the band played the late Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me.”

The video includes pictures from Fredonia residents, thanking those serving on the frontlines.

This was the group’s final project for the 2020 school year.

Andy Bennett, music director for the Fredonia Central School District, says the project has received more than 1,000 views in just a couple of days.
