JAMESTOWN – Parts of the Jamestown Riverwalk will be closed starting Wednesday due to construction.

The Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department says the path system will be closed from North Main Street to Panzarella island.

The State of New York Department of Environmental Conservation are currently making improvements to the nearby Warner Dam. At the same time, city crews will be repaving a path on Panzarella Island and planning new greenery part of a riverbank stabilization project.

The Warner Dam Rehabilitation project will be ongoing through spring of 2021. The Riverwalk Green Infrastructure and Water Quality Improvements project is expected to be finished by the end of August.
