45 More Travelers Quarantined In Chautauqua County Due To State Advisory

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Health Department says 45 more people have been added to the domestic traveler quarantine list in the county.

Officials say there are now 714 people quarantined because of New York’s COVID-19 travel advisory.

Additionally, five new cases of the virus were reported in Chautauqua County on Wednesday, bringing the countywide total to 215 with 23 cases active.











The new cases reported involve a person under the age of 18, a woman in her 30s, a woman in her 50s, and a man and woman in their 60s.

Furthermore, 362 people remain quarantine or isolation orders by the Public Health Director and being monitored.

Health officials say not all of those being monitored are confirmed to have COVID-19 but have either shown symptoms, are awaiting results, or have risk factors.









To date 184 have recovered from COVID-19 in Chautauqua County. A total of 8 virus deaths have been reported since the outbreak began.
