Ninth COVID-19 Related Death Reported In Chautauqua County

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Health Department reported its ninth COVID-19 related death on Saturday.

Health officials say the death involves a man in his 70s who had severe underlying medical conditions prior to being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Additionally, three new cases of the virus were reported on Saturday. The cases involve two women in their 20s and a man in his 70s. There are now 221 confirmed cases with 10 active.











One person also remains hospitalized with Coronavirus in Chautauqua County.

There are also 187 people under quarantine orders by the Public Health Director. Officials say not all of those being monitored are confirmed to have COVID-19 but have either shown symptoms, are awaiting results, or have risk factors.

Furthermore, 753 people are under a domestic traveler quarantine order for having arrived to Chautauqua County from a state listed on the New York State travel advisory.









Since the outbreak began, 202 people have recovered from COVID-19 and more than 21,000 negative test results have been reported.
