JAMESTOWN – The remnants of what was Hurricane Laura will be moving well south of the region but close enough to bring some tropical rain showers into the area over the weekend with the potential for heavy rainfall at times.

After the passage of a Cold front, more showers and a few thunderstorms have been developing behind the front. We’re watching the remnants of Laura has some tropical moisture will be moving in over the weekend.

Showers and thunderstorms will be likely overnight tonight with some patches of heavier rain. Remaining a bit muggy. Lows 63 in the valleys, 69 at the Lake Erie shoreline.

Tropical showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the day on Saturday with some heavy rainfall possible. I don’t think it will be all-day rain with some breaks in the coverage at times. Highs in the lower 70’s.

A nice little preview of fall with come our way on Sunday with highs going down into the mid to upper 60’s. A few showers will be possible throughout the day but the majority of the day will be dry with partial sunshine.

We should squeak out a complete dry day on Monday with highs in the lower 70’s.

A few showers will be possible Tuesday through Thursday with partial sunshine each day and highs in the mid 70’s.
