JAMESTOWN – A check of Wednesday morning’s School COVID-19 Report Card shows no new cases reported in any of the county’s 18 school districts, but only two of the 14 listed private schools have filed reports with the state.

Bethel Baptist Christian Academy and North Chautauqua Catholic School are the only two local private schools to show information on the report card, with both schools reporting no positive tests. The other 12 private schools listed by the state show no information or a status of no report filed.

The report card continues to list two positive cases from Dunkirk’s School Seven, but those were accidently reported as pupils physically attending school, but were actually remote learning pupils.

The latest reported figures are for Tuesday. A majority of private and Amish schools have not reported any information to the report card, but of the few who have, no positive cases were reported.

Chautauqua County public schools have 55 schools with 22,205 students and 1,890 full-time teachers.
