
JAMESTOWN – Over one hundred new cases of COVID-19 were reported between Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties over the weekend.
In Chautauqua County, the health department reported 47 new cases, with 26 on Saturday and 21 on Sunday.
Health officials say there are no open appointments available for Tuesday’s rapid testing clinic in Mayville. They say details about additional clinics will be announced soon.
The county’s latest seven-day infection rate is 2.3%.
Chautauqua County is expected to release a full update later Monday.
In Cattaraugus County, health leaders reported 60 new cases, with 33 on Saturday and 27 on Sunday.
Of the 283 cases active, 20 people are hospitalized.
The county’s seven-day infection rate is now 6.5%, an increase of 1.3% over the past two days.
