MAYVILLE – Two deaths connected to COVID-19 and 18 new cases of the virus were reported in Chautauqua County on Tuesday.
The county Health Department’s COVID-19 Dashboard was updated to reflect the new data.
The deaths, according to health officials, involve a person in their 50s and a person above the age of 90.
There are now 245 cases active, down from 283 on Monday. Of the active 28 are hospitalized, that up from 25 the day before.
The seven-day average percent positivity rate decreased from 5.5 to 5.2 percent.
The number of those vaccinated also went up, from 8,693 to 9,846; making up just over seven percent of the county’s total population.
To date, there have been 7,099 cases of the virus in the county with 6,727 people recovering and 127 related deaths.
