CVS

WESTFIELD — In less than four hours, the schedule for COVID-19 vaccinations at CVS Pharmacies in Western New York was opened and closed as all open slots were filled.

Thursday morning, CVS opened registration for COVID-19 vaccine appointments for those who are eligible.

Vaccines will be given in Westfield, Batavia, Hamburg, Lewiston, and Olean.

By 8:30 a.m., all appointments at these western New York locations were booked. In a news release, CVS says the in-store vaccinations will begin on Friday.

Pharmacies will receive a portion of allocated vaccines but still need to doll out treatments based on the state protocol as to who is eligible to be vaccinated.
