JAMESTOWN – One of the area’s largest manufactures is giving back by donating personal protective equipment to schools, childcare centers and other children’s organizations in the county.

Patrick Smeraldo, Director of the Chautauqua Connections Children’s Coalition, says Cummins Inc. joined forces with home grown organization Mask Makers of WNY to donate 21,000 face masks to organizations in Chautauqua County throughout the pandemic.

In the last week alone, the group donated another 3,500 masks and 34 cases of mini hand sanitizers.

Items collected are distributed to various children and adults in the community.

Since March the two organizations have collaborated with the county executive to help those most in need.
