MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County’s Public Health Director has been recognized by the community for her work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public Health Director Christine Schuyler was nominated by multiple residents part of the county’s ‘COVID-19 Heroes’ program.
In a video posted online, Chautauqua County Executive PJ announced the news this week.
Wendel thanked Schuyler and her team for their work throughout the pandemic; a job he says is often thankless.
“She has helped give consistent, clear messaging from the county Health Department which continues now throughout our vaccination process,” said Wendel. “I personally have worked with Christine as part of our COVID-19 Response Team, and again, I would personally like to say, ‘thank you,’ for all of your hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
