
JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force recovered hundreds of bags of fentanyl, more than 30 ounces of cocaine and over $2,000 in cash during a drug raid on Sunday.
The Jamestown Police Department says the SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 5 Hammond St. in Jamestown just before 5 p.m.
Police say several men and women were detained during the search.
In total, investigators seized $2,279 in cash, 31.84 ounces of cocaine and 183 bags of fentanyl. There was also a separate bag of 5.5 grams of fentanyl that had not been separated yet.
The drugs, police say, were individually packaged and ready for sale.
Along with the illicit drugs, investigators found a 9mm Sig Sauer pistol that was previously reported stolen during a burglary of a gun shop in Pennsylvania.
Officers say there were no charges filed at this time as their investigation is continuing However, charges are expected to be placed against all allegedly involved in the trafficking case.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
