One Hospitalized Following Morning Fire In Jamestown

JAMESTOWN – One person was hospitalized following a morning fire in Jamestown.

Crews with the Jamestown Fire Department responded to a house at the corner of Fairmount and Hall Avenues just after 8 a.m. for a reported working structure fire.











Once on scene firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

Jamestown Police Chief Tim Jackson tells WNY News Now a man was taken to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

The man, Jackson says, likely started the fire.









A large amount of police and other off duty firemen also responded.

Jackson says no one else was injured as a result of the blaze.
