JAMESTOWN – Details of Saturday’s drive-thru Easter Egg celebration at Allen Park in Jamestown have been announced.

Officials with the City of Jamestown say the COVID safe event will start at 10 a.m. and continue until candy runs out.

Masked and gloved volunteers will hand out candy to families in their cars.

Families are asked to enter the route through Allendale, Fairdale and Springdale Avenues off Martin Road. Traffic will be let out either through West Virginia Boulevard or Huhes Street.

“We are extremely excited to be able to hold a COVID safe version of our traditional Easter Egg Hunt this year,” said Jamestown City Parks Manager Dan Stone in a statement. “It has been a difficult year, and we are happy that we are able to do this for the kids of Jamestown.”

Appearances from the Easter Bunny and the Tarp Skunk’s mascot, Whiffy, will also take place.
