Jamestown BPU Yard Waste Site Opening Next Weekend

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown’s yard waste site is getting ready to open next weekend for Board of Public Utility solid waste customers.

Located on Monroe Street, the site is scheduled to open on Saturday, April 10 at 7 a.m.

Residents need to pick up a free Yard Waste Site sticker from the BPU prior to using the service.


The site accepts anything from leaves, to grass clippings, to plants, shrubs, bushes and some tree parts.

Items like metal, sod, concrete, rocks, dirt, and construction wood are not accepted.

Open Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. the sites runs through mid-November.
