Sheriff: Jamestown Man Jailed Following High Speed Crash In Stolen Vehicle

SHERMAN – A 21-year-old Jamestown man is facing a slew of charges after crashing a stolen SUV while allegedly driving over 100 miles per hour.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office alleges Johnathan DeJesus-Godineuax was high on drugs when he veered off I-86 in the Town of Sherman last week.


Furthermore, deputies alleged the man told his passengers he was going to kill them.

Through investigation deputies determined the vehicle, a 2020 Lincoln SUV, was allegedly stolen from a dealership in Jamestown.

Deputies say everyone in the car only suffered minor injuries in the crash.



DeJesus-Godineuax is charged with criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, driving while ability impaired by drugs and several other charges.

He was held in Chautauqua County Jail.
