JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown area nature center is looking for volunteers to help with their upcoming Earth Day cleanup event.

The Audubon Community Nature Center, at 1600 Riverside Rd, is hosting a ‘Volunteer Day Team Challenge’ on Saturday, April 24 at 8:30 a.m.

Both staff and other volunteers will be working to pull non-native plants, sprucing up the gardens, working on the outdoor turtle habitats, picking up trash as part of the Roadside Cleanup and more.

No per-registration is needed, however, team slots are first come, first served. After all the hard work is complete, officials say stick around and celebrate the accomplishments with lunch.

Face coverings are required for outdoor programs during which participants cannot maintain six feet of distance between family groups.
