JAMESTOWN – A 47-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a Jamestown apartment overnight.

Jamestown Police say Jessie Jones was arrested following an unwanted person call at an address on Monroe Street.

Through investigation it is alleged that Jones, in a separate incident, unlawfully entered a vacant apartment on Fairmount Avenue earlier in the evening.

While inside the dwelling, police say Jones allegedly stole items inside before leaving the scene.

Jones is charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Officers say he was taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in the case.
