Missing Chautauqua Lake Kayaker Located Following Swift Search

BEMUS POINT – A kayaker who went missing while boating on Chautauqua Lake Monday night was located following a swift search by first responders.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Bemus Point and Dewittville Fire Departments searched for around an hour and a half for the missing boater.

The man, who first responders say was kayaking in Chautauqua Lake off Long Point State Park, was located around 10:30 p.m.











The kayaker, who has not been identified at this time, was uninjured and returned to shore.
