MAYVILLE – A Fredonia man will be heading to state prison after previously pleading guilty to second-degree attempted burglary.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office says Shawn Hallmark was sentenced by Judge David Foley in Chautauqua County Court Wednesday morning to three-and-a-half years determinate in state prison plus five years plus five years post-release supervision.

Officials say the plea was the result of an investigation by the Fredonia Police Department.

The incident Hallmark was charged in reportedly occurred Oct. 12, and he was arrested three days later.
