JAMESTOWN – A group dedicated to honoring Veterans in the Jamestown area is getting ready to start their effort to place flags on veteran graves at Lakeview Cemetery.

The United Veterans Council of Jamestown will take part in the annual tradition at Soldier’s Circle Thursday starting at 4 p.m.

They say anyone from the community is welcome to help out, however they must observe all current mask and social distancing suggestions.

Volunteers who are not able to attend the event on Thursday, but still want to assist, are asked to pickup American Flags at the cemetery’s main office.

Staff will then direct them to where flags can be placed outside of Thursday’s hours.
