JAMESTOWN – A program that provides meals to kids on summer break kicked off this week.

The Jamestown YMCA is dishing out meals to anyone under the age of 18 at several locations around the City of Jamestown.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., meals can be picked up the Prendergast Library, Jamestown Boys and Girls Club, Real Life Church and Fletcher, Lincoln and Ring Elementary Schools.

It is estimated that the group will serve around 1,000 meals a day, breakfast and lunch, to kids citywide.

The dishes are prepared at the Eastside YMCA, with funding from the program via the USDA.
