Flash Flood Watch Issued For Jamestown Area Amid Heavy Rain Spell

JAMESTOWN – Weather forecasters are warning those in the Jamestown area to be on the lookout for flash flooding Monday afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo issued a Flash Flood Watch which goes into effect for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties Monday at 2 p.m.











Meteorologists say recent heavy rainfall Sunday, combined with heavy rain from additional showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into early the evening, may result in flooding across the Southern Tier.

They are advising resident to monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
