ALBANY (WENY) – Funds are being made available to support child care providers in New York State.

This is in an effort to get parents back to work. Roughly $1.1 billion is being made available.

The funds will be through the American Rescue Plan Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act.

This is the largest single investment in child care New York has seen.

The funds will help stabilize the industry by supporting child care programs and help repair losses caused by the pandemic.

Applications will be available starting Wednesday.
