USDA Boosts Levels Of Food Stamp Assistance

NEW YORK (WENY) – The USDA is boosting the levels of food stamp assistance available to those in need.

Benefits will rise more than 25 percent above pre pandemic levels.

This is the largest single increase in the program’s history. The move will take effect in October.











Food stamps are known as the SNAP program. The increased assistance will be available to all 42 million snap beneficiaries.
