WARREN – The first ever dog park officially opens in Warren County on Sunday.

The Woofington Dog Park, located along Route 62 next to the Warren County Visitors Bureau, aims to help dogs to have a paw-some time.

The grand opening celebration kicks off at noon. Celebrations include food truck vendors, dog treats and cookies for their human counterparts.

Rocco DelPrince, who sits on the board of directors that helped bring the idea to life, sat down with 92 Gold’s Aaron Mee this week.

DelPrince says in addition to the greenspace for dogs and their owners, he hopes to develop additional education courses as well.

“We’ll have some professional trainers that we are working to put on the calendar for the 2022 summer season,” said DelPrince.

Although the park is free to use, DelPrince says donations are encouraged as the park will have operating costs associated.

Those looking to donate can send a check to Woofington Dog Park at PO box 265 Warren, PA or there will be QR codes at the park made available to scan for online donations.
