DUNKIRK – The boil water and conservation orders for the City of Dunkirk and some customers of the CBI-North Chautauqua County Water District is now lifted.

That’s according to the Chautauqua County Department of Health who announced the news Saturday.

Water samples collected on Thursday and Friday show that the water is safe to drink and use for all other purposes, officials said.

The orders first went in place on Wednesday following what was the municipality’s largest water main break in recent memory.
