NORTH EAST, Pa. (Erie News Now) – With Pennsylvania’s face mask mandate for school students going into effect Tuesday, North East School District parents protested the requirement this week.

A dozen or so parents and community members gathered ahead of the district’s school board meeting.

Most of them said something to the effect of “my child, my choice” when it comes to kids wearing a mask in school.

It is a state decision, but parents in some Pennsylvania districts are trying to get their school boards to defy the mandate.
