JAMESTOWN – Police are looking into a drive-by shooting that happened in a residential neighborhood in Jamestown on Monday evening.
Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson tells WNY News Now several shots were fired from a vehicle at a home in the 700 block of Jefferson Street around 6 p.m.
Police say the home was occupied at the time by several people, including multiple small children.
As the investigation continues, those with information in the case are asked to call detectives at (716) 483-7537 or contact the department’s anonymous tip line at 483-TIPS (8477). All calls, police say, are kept confidential.
Back in 2020, a man was shot following an argument on the same street. At the time police said the incident was believed to have been targeted and not a random act of violence.
