Man Jailed Following Drug Raid At Findley Lake Hotel Room

FINDLEY LAKE – A 43-year-old is behind bars following a drug raid at a Findley Lake hotel last week.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports Shawn Conway was taken into custody after the SWAT Team and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the Comfort Inn on Route 426 on Friday.

After searching the room, it is alleged investigators recovered 224 grams of methamphetamine, 109 grams of fentanyl, 12.83 grams of cocaine, 29 grams of crack cocaine, 40 dosage units of morphine and a quantity of cash.

The drug seizure and subsequent arrest, law enforcement says, was a result of a several months long investigation.

Conway is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail and held without bail.

Authorities ask members of the community to report suspicious or narcotics related activity by calling (716) 664-2420.
