RANDOLPH – A new pet store opened in Randolph over the weekend.

Hot Scales Pets, located at 133 Main Street, opened following a ribbon cutting Saturday at noon.

The opening is part of Jamestown business entrepreneur Jason Skinner’s expansion of Pearl City Pets.

The storefront will be open from noon until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. He plans to adjust hours based off demand.

“We have reptiles here from snakes to bearded dragons, to leopard geckos,” said Skinner. “We also have a variety of saltwater fish, freshwater fish, we carry rabbits, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs.”

Randolph isn’t the only place he plans to expand to in the future, with the Skinner family slated to open another location next month in Frewsburg.
