Falconer Fire Crews Make Quick Work Of Garbage Truck Blaze

ELLICOTT – Fire crews in Falconer quickly extinguished a garbage truck fire on Tuesday.

The Falconer Fire Department responded to Route 380 in the Town of Ellicott around 4:30 p.m. for reports of a garbage truck on fire.

They say the blaze was quickly extinguished, however most the paper waste product was dumped from the truck into the roadway in order to stop the fire’s spread.











The driver was transported to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital for evaluation, officials said.

The Gerry and Frewsburg Fire Departments also responded to the scene.
