JAMESTOWN – A winter weather advisory runs through 7 a.m. Tuesday morning as lake effect snow impacts Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo expects winds gusting as high as 35 mph near the Lake Erie shoreline, which could cause limited visibilities during the Monday night commute.

Untreated and snow-covered roads are also possible early Tuesday morning, with 3 to 5 inches of new snowfall expected across the counties.

Officials are asking drivers to slow down and use caution while traveling within the snow bands.
