DUNKIRK – Over 1,000 homes remain without power in parts of Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties on Sunday morning following a blast of heavy winds.
As of 10 a.m. National Grid reports a dozen different outages spanning from Ripley in northern Chautauqua County to the City of Dunkirk.
Additionally, there remain sporadic outages throughout Cattaraugus County.

As a result, National Grid is offering customers dry ice on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Murphy Training Center at 665 Brigham Road in Dunkirk.
Customers are asked to bring a small cooler or shopping bag to transport their dry ice home in order to keep their fridges and freezers cold.
